Relief Tamar on station

On Tuesday 4th January the Tamar class lifeboat Victor Freeman arrived on station for relief duties.

Lester was taken to Lowestoft in the morning by Coxswain John Davies and 6 crew, and following a changeover of gear Tamar 16-13 was brought back to Cromer, arriving at approx 13.15.

Victor Freeman was built in 2009, and was unusually, named while on relief duties at Tenby on 31st July 2010 by HRH The Duke of Kent.

She recently served at Shoreham before the arrival of their new boat Enid Collett just prior to Christmas.

Our lifeboat will be going back to RNLI HQ for repairs to be carried out on some technical issues that couldn't be resolved on station.
