Cromer lifeboat involved in rescue from Sheringham Shoal wind farm.
While afloat at Sheringham for the raft race, Cromer lifeboat was requested to proceed to the wind farm to assist with a developing casualty situation.
At approximately 13:20 the Lester was requested to meet the vessel MPI DOROTHEA to liaise and assess the possible actions.
The lifeboat met with support vessel PORTH DINLLAEN and handed over the lifeboats entonox for delivery to the sub station OS1, where a worker had suffered a back injury, which was transferred at 13:55.
With the casualty situation stabilised at 14:22, the rescue teams are transferring the casualty to the helideck to await the arrival of an RAF helicopter Rescue 125.
Cromer lifeboat relayed a message to OS1 from Yarmouth coastguard explaining that the Rescue helicopter will be on scene at 14:00UTC
Helicopter arrived on scene at 13:57 UTC
Cromer lifeboat spoke to the coastguard at 14:14UTC to update information and advise that winch-man was on sub station and they are awaiting casualty transfer.
Rescue 125 departed the scene with casualty aboard at 14:40UTC heading for Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital - ETA 14:57UTC
Cromer lifeboat arrived at the slipway at 15:30UTC and was washed down, rehoused, refuelled and ready for service.
