At 12:30 on Saturday afternoon 'Lester' left the slipway on passage to RNLI HQ at Poole in Dorset.

The route plotted for the passage was originally planned to see the lifeboat visit Dover overnight, but this was changed to Harwich due to the conditions, and then on to Poole, arriving on Sunday evening.

While away she will have a re-paint in readiness for her naming ceremony in September.

At about 16:00 the relief Tamar 16-10 'Edward and Barbara Prigmore' arrived at the slipway from Lowestoft.
