HRH The Duke of Kent KG will be naming our Tamar class lifeboat on 8th September 2008

Cromer lifeboat station is proud to announce that HRH The Duke of Kent will be naming our Tamar class lifeboat RNLB Lester at 2pm on the 8th September during a special ceremony.

His Royal Highness, who is the President of the RNLI, will also be taking a look round the RNLI Henry Blogg Museum on the promenade, visiting the local lifeguard unit and meeting members of our lifeboat crew. As well as the naming ceremony there will also be a service of dedication for the stations Tamar.

It is expected to be a very busy day for the RNLI volunteers in Cromer and we are all looking forward to it with great anticipation.

As usual we will let you know how the day goes and we are sure to have plenty of pictures to add to the Gallery after the event.
