An exhibition to celebrate the Inshore Lifeboats and crews at Cromer.

Introduced in 1967, the rubber, inflatable boats are often called into action more regularly than the larger All Weather Lifeboats. They have proven their worth over the years in being able to launch quickly, reach casualties in difficult situations, work efficiently and save lives. The exhibition will feature a selection of services to give a flavour of what they are asked to do. From a couple rescued just before he could propose marriage to the search for a young family capsized from their unsea-worthy dinghy, the crews of the ‘rubber ducks’ have risen to every challenge.
Photographs, interviews and pieces of equipment combine to give an insight into the indispensable work of the 'rubber ducks' at Cromer.

The museum is open 10am -5pm Tuesday -Sunday.

Admission to the museum and exhibition is free.
