Early this morning the Police were called to deal with a person in difficulties, on or near Cromer Pier
At 00:26 the Coastguard at Gt. Yarmouth requested the launch of Cromer ILB to assist with the casualty
However while the ILB crew were in the process of launching the lifeboat, they were contacted by the Coastguard and informed that their assistance was no longer required, as the casualty was safe on shore with the Police
At 00:35 the ILB was once again ready for service

In the space of these 9 minutes, 11 crew and 2 station officers were 'ready for action' on the promenade at Cromer.
