The offshore lifeboat was paged at 11:03 to launch and investigate sightings of a balloon well offshore and to the West of the station.

As the majority of the Cromer lifeboat crew mustered at the boathouse the launch was Cancelled by Gt. Yarmouth Coastguard at 11:07.
