Home Shouts Shouts 2006 July 28th ILB (1)
July 28th ILB (1)
At 12:37 this afternoon reports of a jetski in difficulties off Cromer were recieved by our station LOM - Richard Leeds.

Senior Helmsman - Ady Woods was close to the ILB boathouse when his pager went off and was able to begin preparations for an immediate launch.

While preparing the ILB a member of the crew spoke to two men on the promenade who were loading a jetski onto a trailer and asked if they had just come ashore, and they confirmed they had.

The visablity on the beach was very poor at approx. 150 yards and without being able to confirm that this was the jetski in question the Senior Helmsman continued to launch the ILB to carry out a search of the area.

Satisfied that the area from Cromer to Overstrand had been checked, with no sightings of another jetski the ILB returned to station and was made ready for service.
