Inshore Lifeboat Launch request as crew pagers sound at 20:10

After reports of a person in difficulties in the water near the Pier at Cromer were received by Yarmouth Coastguard, they requested the launch of our station ILB to assist with the situation.

Members of the crew assembled at the boathouse and prepared the lifeboat for launch.

As the lifeboat moved down the beach to the waters edge the crew were informed that the casualty had made it ashore and was talking to local Police officers regarding his actions.

ILB stood down and returned to station.
