The crew made their way through town to the inshore boathouse this evening to launch Seahorse III after reports that a small craft was seen drifting out to sea with two people on board. As the ILB launched at 19:54 another small vessel that had been fishing near the end of Cromer pier had made its way alongside the dingy and tied them beside their craft but appeared to be struggling against the tide. Once on scene the ILB crew handed over some life-jackets to the people in the casualty vessel as they didn't have any with them. They had intended to come ashore at Trimingham, but with only oars to make way and no radio on board, they were advised that being towed back to the beach at Cromer was the best action. The inshore lifeboat escorted the fishing vessel and the casualty back to the east beach and landed at approximately 20:15. Safe and well the couple were spoken to by members of the local Coastguard rescue team before making their way home. ILB washed down, refuelled and ready for service by 20:30 Crew on Board
