Cromer crew paged at 05:52 this morning for immediate launch.
Our Tamar lifeboat RNLB Lester launched at 06:04 after reports of a man overboard from the the passenger ferry 'Pride of Rotterdam'.
The crew are commencing search of area given by Gt. Yarmouth Coastguard.
After an initial search area was given out by the Coastguard MRCC at Gt Yarmouth each lifeboat was given specific areas to cover.
Other lifeboats involved are Humber, Cleethorpes, Wells, Caister, Yarmouth and Gorleston and Lowestoft & Rescue helicopters 125 and 128.
06:40 Search co-ordinates passed to lifeboats from Gt. Yarmouth Coastguard.
07:20 Revised search area passed to Cromer lifeboat, Skegness lifeboat also involved.
This was a very large search carried out by 7 lifeboats, 2 rescue helicopters and numerous coastguard teams lasting approximately 7½ hours.
After an exhaustive search the RNLB Lester returned to station at 13:25, she was washed down, refuelled and ready for service by 14:00.
