After a busy day Cromer ILB paged to launch at 19:11
As the crew were returning to their families after today's events their pagers went of again to summon the inshore lifeboat to launch to the aid of a swimmer in distress reported to be off East Runton by a member of the public.
The Seahorse III hit the water at 19:21 and promptly headed to the west of the station to assist.
As the lifeboat was travelling along the coast the crew noticed a Police car at the west end of Cromer promenade and that they were being waved in to the shore.
On beaching the lifeboat at 19:23 the crew were informed that the casualty was safe on the beach and was being interviewed by local Police officers. The local Coastguard team were also in attendance.
After being released by Yarmouth Coastguard the ILB returned to the beach, was washed down and made ready for service at 19:40.
