Our Tamar class lifeboat launched at 14:25 this afternoon to go to the aid of a yacht ROSEANNA approximately 1nm NE of the town with a fouled prop. The vessel has 1 POB.
Crew members Ady Barker (2nd Coxswain) and Marty Newland went aboard casualty vessel to investigate the problem and discovered that the propshaft would not turn in either direction to free the crab pot tow wrapped around the propeller. At 15: 20 a tow was established with the lifeboat & casualty heading towards Wells. After navigating to the quay at Wells the yacht ROSEANNA was secured alongside the Abatros and the lifeboat began her return journey to station. At 19:45 the RNLB Lester was recovered, washed down, re-fuelled and made ready for service.
