11th Nov ILB

Shout InfoCromer ILB paged for immediate readiness at 15:15

The crew assembled at the ILB boathouse this afternoon, to make the inshore lifeboat 'Seahorse III' ready for an immediate launch if requested!

At 15:27 the ILB was launched from her carriage and began travelling toward Overstrand, where members of the public had reported seeing 2 wet and bedraggled dogs on the beach, but could not see the dogs owners.

Local Coastguard units made their way to the scene and requested the ILB launch, as the light was fading, to carry out a search to seaward in case the dogs owners were in the water.

Upon recovering the dogs members of the Coastguard team discovered who they belonged to and were able to find the owner safe and well.

At approximately 16:00 the inshore lifeboat was stood down and headed back to station.

Arriving on the beach at 16:15 the ILB was recovered, washed down, re-fuelled and made ready for service at 16:25
