Personnel

There are many different people involved at any lifeboat station, most of them work hard behind the scenes, happy to play a supporting role to the RNLI  and the crews who go out on a 'Shout'.

D-197 CrewEach and every one of them play a vital part in making their respective station run like clockwork.

They will be involved in many various ways including;

  • Fund-Raising
  • Ladies Guild
  • Shop Volunteers
  • Museum Volunteers
  • Public Relations
  • Visits Team
  • Station Administration
  • Shore Crew
  • Boat Crew

As an explore station we are lucky that we can boast having an offshore lifeboat, an Inshore lifeboat, a lifeboat shop on the Pier and a Museum which also has a shop.

This means that we have quite a large number of volunteers of all ages who do a magnificent job keeping our visitors happy and well informed about the current lifeboats and also about the amazing history of our station.

So, if you are ever in Cromer visiting friends or family, please make a point of visiting us. You never know you might find out something new about our station or the RNLI in general, you will always be made welcome!

If you are a school, club or group, we can arrange a formal visit and station tour, please look at our Visits page for more details.
